About Our Farm
Food. Family. Faith.
Get to know all about Growing Hope Farm - what we do and our mission.
Growing Hope Farm is a not-for-profit social enterprise. All profits are either invested back into the farm (ie. fences, food for animals etc) and/or donated to Mennonite Central Committee. Check out their website to see what they do around the world. www.mcccanada.ca. Sarah and Philip work entirely as volunteers and do not take a wage so more money can be directed back to MCC. To date we have donated $87,000 to help MCC give farmers overseas a chance to have access to livestock, land, skills training, irrigation, etc.
We are first and foremost a farm. This is our priority and passion. We do 100% organic food, food that we feed our kids with. We practice rotational grazing, feed certified organic grain, always have the animals outside eating grass for as long as possible. We go way beyond organic standards. Philip is a lovely supporter of Sarah and he has a off farm job that actually pays the bills! Yeah for Phil! Sarah is the Farmer, marketing and social media coordinator, accountant, HR director, vet (notice the little V lol!), business planner, grant writer and more Farming!
Food. We love food. Good food. We offer local (like your backyard local) food for you to enjoy. We specialize in beef and pork. Fresh food that contributes to the community never tasted so food!
Family. We are all about relationships with family and friends that are like family. Our family is bigger then just our biological family, it's our community. Growing Hope Farm is here to grow community and grow relationships with each other.
Faith. We are here because of our Christian faith. We try and have it influence everything we do.
We like to be very transparent and so if you have any questions please ask away!
At Growing Hope we feel incredibly lucky that we get to do what we love. We’d love for you to take part in the Growing Hope Farm food! For more information, get in touch!
